some thoughts
My life has been busy lately. Starting school, working around 30 hours every week, trying to stay caught up on laundry and other necessary chores, running, and making time to hang out with God all keep me fairly well occupied and tired by the end of the day. Sadly in the midst of all of this, blogging is what gets the short end of the stick. I am hoping that as I adjust to all of this, I will be able to find a little balance to work blogging back into a more regular routine.
But not for the next week because I'm going on vacation!! It has been almost a year since I took a trip, and my feet were itching to get going somewhere again. I got the week off of work, and I'm leaving behind most means of connection with life here. I'm going to spend time hanging out with two of my best friends, relaxing, reading, and just plain chilling out. . .with maybe a trip or two to the beach in there somewhere!! :)
On a completely separate note, I am absolutely loving school!! It is so wonderful, and I am so eager to learn more and more as the year continues. The more I get into the program, the more I realize that the time I spent waiting for this door to open and praying about massage school was all time that God spent preparing me for massage school. The lessons that He taught me in those years are being brought to my attention as I am learning things in school.
On another completely separate note, I went into work to eat this afternoon, and my co-worker who was serving me gave me some iced coffee which I was very excited about (you know how much I love coffee!). I told him that coffee is my weakness, and he asked if that is why I am always so chipper. I said maybe. He pressed the issue and said it had to be something. After a moments thought I responded that it must be the Joy of the Lord. He seemed to think that was a decent response and smiled. I am continually amazed at the ways God opens doors for me to show my co-workers how my life is different because of God. I pray for many more opportunities to show His Love to everyone around me.
Well, peeps, I'm gonna call it a night because tomorrow will come quickly and I want to be ready for it. Peace and Mercy.
